R&F Steel Buildings Warwick worked closely with the client, carefully considering scale, colour selection, and integration with existing structures to deliver a fully tailored aircraft hangar that balances aviation-grade functionality with architectural harmony.
The completed hangar delivers a high-clearance, steel portal frame structure designed for both strength and everyday functionality.
A standout feature is the custom on-site manufactured sliding doors, built to achieve a precise fit and smooth operation. Paired with a purpose-designed track system, this allows seamless entry and exit between the hangar and the concrete apron—critical for safe and efficient aircraft movement.
The wide-span design provides generous internal space, while the selected finishes ensure the building integrates seamlessly with surrounding structures, delivering both performance and long-term value.
Note: Building approvals were managed directly by the client.
From mobilisation to handover, the build phase was completed efficiently, with the team travelling approximately two hours from Warwick and staying locally throughout the project—supporting businesses within the Running Creek area.
