Steel Building Design
Leveraging our 3D design software ShedSuite, a purpose built system to suit our signature 'welded & bolted portal frames', we can create a design that shows you down to the last bolt, exactly what your project will look like. If we can design it, we can build and engineer it.

Fabrication - Welded & Bolted System
Unlike other shed companies who use brackets and screws, we heavy duty steel connections that are fabricated by our network for a welded and bolted connection system. They are rigid, easy to build with, and mimic a structural steel connection. No more confusion interpreting complicated brackets. Build faster, reduce labour and build an R&F Steel Building.
Concrete Foundation Design & Install
Does your site have a reactive soil type (H, E or P)? Our team provide a site specific concrete foundation design to suit either; 2.5kpa, 5kpa or 10kpa loaded slab foundations, for a range of soil types and applications. We create solutions for regular design challenges to ensure you receive a compliant project with full certification to residential, rural and commercial projects. Every R&F Project that includes concrete footings or slab, is looked after in-house, saving you the burden of dealing with third parties and taking on the personal risk of a defective slab or poor workmanship.

Project Meeting
Chat or meet with our team in-person, over the phone, on-site, or in store about your project, plans, budget and general goals. We lean into our build experience and will guide you, provide specific advice and help you define your needs before we get started on pricing your project.
Design & Quote
Send in your rough sketch, have a chat with our team over the phone, or meet with us in person to create a design that suits your needs. We will design your Shed, Garage, Carport or Hangar with our in house 3D modelling software and send you an all inclusive quote; supply, concrete and installation. It's a turnkey package, you don't have to think about anything except your new steel building.
Planning & Approvals
We'll create a site specific set of construction plans, engineering certification and look after the building applications and final certifications to ensure your project is compliant with the National Construction Code. We can do this for you, or work with you to support the process.
Site Prep & Slab
Footings to Slab, we look after the lot. If you engage us to look after your entire shed project, we will organise everything. We provide a site specific design to suit a confirmed soil test up to E class soil conditions, and can provide a indivual slab design for P sites where there are often more than one factor influencing the reactivity of the soil.
Kit Supply
All steel products are manufactured in Queensland, by the closest manufacturing point to site delivery address. Using BlueScope and Colorbond Steel products, Lysaght rollform the cladding and purlins that make up a large portion of each R&F Steel Building.

Our fabricators will process the steel members to create our signature 'Welded & Bolted Portal Frames' for a faster and more rigid construction. All kits are delivered to site by a self unload truck, just about anywhere in Queensland. Upon request a bill of materials with a member label and supplier part number can be provided to assist in reviewing the delivered products. Typically we see a 95% DIFOT (delivery in full on time) rate across the state.
Construction
We specialise in a 'done for you' project, every R&F Distributor is a qbcc licenced builder - equipped to look after your project from slab to construction. If you’re DIY or engaging others, we strongly advise you always use licensed contractors to ensure you have a build that is compliant and built properly. If not, you run the risk of defects and incurring rectification costs (in some cases a full structure replacement) due to poor workmanship and in some cases structural failure.
Fit-outs & Other Trades
Every project is different. Whether it's a typical shed for storage, a carport for vehicle protection, a horse arena, workshop or commercial build. Talk with your local distributor to confirm what sub trades and work can be included with your project. Where we can't help, the benefit of being a local is that we work with other local trades and can recommend, or in some cases sub contract the trades to complete the project for you. Each design has a totally different set of needs, we are always happy to help find a solution; lighting, electrical, plumbing, security or other.
Customer Hand-over
Congratulations, all that’s left to do is enjoy your new build! We are a phone call away to extend your structure, modify it or repair any unexpected damages that may occur in the future.
