2005 Where it Started
Ryan and Nigel began like many of our customers – hands-on, hard-working, and committed to doing things properly. Starting with weekend shed kits as young adults, they learned the craft from the ground up. From early days, there has been one clear goal: delivering practical, engineered steel sheds that make life easier for everyday Australians. No unnecessary complexity. No cutting corners.
2010 R & F Name Established and Local Relationships Built
The R & F Steel Building name was officially established in 2010 along with strong partnerships with trusted Australian suppliers, including Lysaght, ensuring every R & F shed is built using premium materials designed to handle Queensland’s demanding conditions.

2012 Expanding Across Queensland
As demand increased and our reputation for straight-up service grew, R & F expanded beyond Gatton – welcoming local owner-builders in Warwick, who shared the same practical values.
2012 Innovation in Design & Engineering
We invested in advanced design systems and custom engineering processes that simplified quoting, certification and council approvals.

2016 Growing Network

2018 The Launch of Shedsuite
Innovation continued with the launch of Shedsuite – our purpose-built digital platform designed to give distributors a smarter, faster and more accurate way to design and deliver custom sheds.
It strengthened our network and reinforced what we stand for: practical tools that genuinely support the people on the ground.
